Rapid prototyping is the fast fabrication of a physical part, model or assembly using 3D computer aided design (CAD). The creation of the part, model or assembly is usually completed using additive manufacturing.Â
Â
3D printingÂ
Â
The 3D printing process builds a three-dimensional object from a computer-aided design model, usually by successively adding material layer by layer.Â
Â
Krafter’s undertake all kind of 3D printing requirements.Â
Â
Silicon Moulding / Vacuum CastingÂ
Â
Commercial release quality parts for final testing and with low number of parts. This is quick way to try production ready product before starting hardened mould or tool making. Â
Â
In a week’s time, the client has the facility to have 15 to 20 samples for testing. The Materials Krafter’s prefer are ABS, PP, Nylon and Rubber.Â
Â
Soft Moulds / Proto MouldsÂ
Â
A soft tool is made of steel for targeted production of 5,000- 30,000 no. quantity or to test a multi (16 or more) cavity mould performance and cycle time by making a 2 or 4 cavity soft tool. Soft Mould will take 2 weeks lesser than an actual hard mould and at a reduced cost.Â
Â
Disadvantage of soft tool is the burr and wear out after producing 1,000’s. So may require often mould maintenance.Â
Â
Manufacturing Consultancy Â
Â
Krafter’s provide start-ups and clients who need a professional consultancy to build a new product or set up a manufacturing facility. Krafter’s provide support on Lean Management and Six sigma, to optimize the productivity, and to improve the efficiency.Â
Â
One of the biggest challenge manufacturing companies face is the automation and implementation of ERP system and data analytics.Â
